7th Grade Math
I attended Wichita High School West and graduated in 2000. Following graduation I attended Newman University. I graduated in May 2004. After taking a few years off of school, I went back to school at Walden University and graduated in 2011.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Newman University. I received my Master’s Degree in Educational Technology from Walden University. I am certified to teach grades K-9 and have a Math Endorsement for 5-9.
During the summer of 2009 I attended my first Summer Institute for AVID training. I completed the first Math strand during that summer. While teaching in Wichita, I was able to attend a Critical Reading strand through AVID as well. June 2016, I attended the AVID elective implementation strand at Summer Institute in Dallas. June 2017, I attend the Tutorology during Summer Institute.
I began teaching at Augusta Middle School August 2013. Currently I teach 7th grade math and the 7th grade AVID elective.
I began teaching in 2004 at Jardine Middle School in Wichita. After starting a family, I made a move to Robinson Middle School in order to be at a school with a later start time. My husband took a job in Topeka, so we had to move. I worked at Jardine Middle School in Topeka for a year before moving back home.
