7th grade Special Education Teacher
I grew up in a small town in Arkansas. I graduated from Cabot High School in Cabot, AR in 1978. From there I attended college at the University of Central Arkansas. I graduated UCA in 1983.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Education degree in Speech Pathology and Special Education. I earned my teaching degree in 1983.
I began teaching 7th grade special education at Augusta Middle School in the fall of 2013. I also currently co-teach with 7th grade Blue Team math teacher.
1983- Conway Middle School, Conway, AR – special education teacher
1983-84 CHILD, Dallas, TX – special education teacher
1984-86 Dean Learning Center, Dallas, TX- special education teacher
1986-87 Richardson Center, Fayetteville, AR – special education teacher
1987-2006- employed as a substitute teacher in the states of TX, SC and WA while focusing on raising my 3 children.
2006-13 Pioneer Middle School, Steilacoom, WA- special education teacher
I married my husband, Mark, in December of 1980. It was his job in full time ministry that took us from AR to TX to ID, back to TX to SC and WA. We finally moved to KS in January of 2013 when he began work as a Chaplan at the Wichita VA hospital. We have 3 grown children, JohnMark, Sarah and David and 3 grandchildren who live much too far away in Nashville, TN.
