Current Position:

I began working at Augusta Middle School as a Registered Nurse in 2007.  I am here to promote health and to assist our students with many health issues, in partnership with family and community, in an effort to keep them at school ready to learn!  Some of my responsibilities include:

  • Emergency Care
  • Acute Health Care Management
  • Management of chronic conditions, such as diabetes, asthma, allergies and anaphylaxis, etc.
  • Medication Administration
  • State-mandated Vision and Hearing screenings
  • Illness and Injury prevention
  • Staff training and delegation
  • Environmental and Biohazard Safety
  • Certified CPR instructor responsible for CPR/AED training and certification of district staff
  • Health and Wellness promotion
  • Serve on District Safety Team
  • Serve on District Wellness Committee
  • Serve on District and Building Crisis Team

Previous Position:

I have had a varied nursing career, which includes experience in Critical Care Nursing, Emergency Nursing, Intra-operative nursing, and Nursing Management in an out-patient surgical facility.  This varied experience enables me to handle a wide array of situations that arise or could potentially arise with students on a daily basis. 

Personal Information:

My husband and I have been residents of Augusta for 30 years.  We have 4 daughters and they all attended Augusta Schools.  We feel proud of the education they received in the Augusta school system.  We now have grandchildren attending school in Augusta.
