I currently teach 8th grade English/Language Arts

I started teaching at AMS in 1994.  I taught here for 4 years, then moved to Bluestem Middle School for 2 years.  After that, I returned to AMS, and have taught here for the past 23 years. I taught 6^th grade for the first 10 years, and have taught 8^th grade ever since.

I am the luckiest man on the face of the Earth.  I have been married to my wife, Heather for 33 years.  We have two beautiful daughters, Katie, who is 28, and Kristen, who is 24. Katie married our awesome son in law, Charles, in 2017. Katie graduated from KSU in 2017. Katie and Charles are the parents of our first grandchild, CJ, who was born in 2020, and Maggie, who was born in 2022.

Kristen married our other awesome son in law Jeff, in 2022. Kristen also graduated from KSU. (Go CATS!) Kristen and Jeff are the proud parents of our wonderful grand-dog, Oatie.

Now that both of my children are grown, whenever I get some free time, I enjoy spending quality time just relaxing at home in my quiet house. I have also been known to play tennis and golf from time to time.
