7th grade science teacher
I graduated from Ulysses High School in 2000 and Fort Hays State University in 2018.
BS of science in education with a minor in special education
I began teaching in the spring of 2019 and am currently teaching 7th grade science. I also help coach golf and girls’ basketball.
Before teaching, I was a certified educational sign language interpreter for Butler County Special Education for ten years. This afforded me time in classrooms ranging from Pre-k – 12th grade accross the county.
I have two sons, Cole and Chadd. Cole attends Coffeyville Community College, and Chadd is a senior at Augusta High. My Husand, Josh Ybarra, is a social studies teacher at Augusta High School and coaches football at Friends University. I also have a pomeranian named Apollo.
When not at school, I enjoy golfing, reading, working out, and spending time with my husand, Josh, and two sons, Cole and Chadd.
