AVID

AVID stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination. This is a class available to 7th and 8th grade students who apply and are accepted into the program. In class students learn skills and behaviors necessary to be academically successful in rigorous courses. Two days a week students participate in Tutorials to help support their work in rigorous courses and further develop positive relationships with peers. When not working in Tutorials, students work on AVID curriculum to develop their desire for personal achievement through hard work and determination. AVID applications open in February to all 6th grade students for their 7th grade school year.  Applications are due by Tuesday, February 20th.
