Choir/Band
I earned my Bachelor of Music Education Degree from Southwestern College in 2002. I graduated from Baker University with a Master of Arts in Education. During my time here, my groups have consistently received superior ratings at music contest. I was the 2010 Secondary Teacher of the Year for Augusta and have also been the recipient of the KAKE News Golden Apple Award. I absolutely love what I do and could not imagine doing anything else! Thank you for sharing your amazing children with me every day!

I have attended many workshops through my teaching career. Some of my favorites are KMEA and KTOY. I have also continued my education after earning my Master’s Degree by attending many online music classes through VanderCook College of Music.
I am married to Clayton Kaus, who is also my fabulous coteacher in band and choir here at AMS. We have four children, ranging from age 8 to 20 years old. We also have 3 dogs.
I enjoy walking my dogs, Kayaking with my family, going on bike trails, cooking, baking, playing cards, and jamming out with my family.
