Previous Position

• Prior to working for USD 402: Augusta Public Schools, I was teaching 7^th grade science for Valley Center Middle School as part of USD 262: Valley Center Public Schools. Although my intial degree was for social studies; I decided to take on an open Science position (since I have the endorsement) and have loved teaching science ever since! I taught at Valley Center Middle School for 4 years (all four years science). Prior to USD 262: Valley Center; I gained some experience as a substitute teacher and a paraprofessional for Anthony Middle School (in Manhattan, KS) as part of USD 383: Manhattan/Ogden Public Schools. Each experience has allowed me to grow as an educator & an individual and I continue to learn new things each year that passes by. 

Are you married? If so, what year did you get married?

• I am married to my beautiful wife, Ariel. We have been married since November 2019! 

Do you have any children?

• No children, just pets. 

Do you have any pets?

• My wife and I currently have two dogs. They are both King Charles Cavalier + Poodle mixes and each dog has their own distinct personality. Although they can be a handful, at the end of the day they are like our children and we love coming home to them. 

Do you have any hobbies?

• I am a man of many hobbies, to name a few: sports (I have coached HS Baseball, MS Basketball, and MS Football), gardening, pickling/canning, collecting antiques (specifically vinyl records), playing video games so I can be better at them than my students, and more!
